Yes, I did it again. A few weeks ago I bought a new coat. The only thing I can say to justify another coat purchase is that I didn’t have a camel coloured one yet, which doesn’t justify the purchase at all. However, I do think that this is going to be a new favourite as it is timeless.

Something that I lately try to do during my shopping sessions is asking myself how timeless the item is. I also tend to pay more attention at checking the fabric. I think it’s part of growing up as my buying behaviour used to be quite reckless when I was younger. Of course, I also still buy ‘’on trend’’ items but at the moment I am also paying attention to investing in quality items.

The coat is made from wool and in combination to the camel colour it’s just so classy. It’s also my first real long coat. Well, it’s still not extremely long but for me it is. I think it also shapes the body so nicely. The coat actually has faux fur on the sleeves but I took it off for this occasion. If you follow my outfit posts for a while you will think that that is so unlike me (confessions of a faux fur lover).

As the coat was the obvious starting point of this outfit, I decided to combine it with a complete navy outfit. While a top + bottoms in one colour might sound boring at first, I kind of like this idea. Currently on the wishlist are therefore white trousers to create a white only outfit. I actually felt a bit Parisian with this outfit.

It wouldn’t be me though if there wasn’t a touch of something different in my outfit. I finished the look with my chunky platform ankle boots with patches. The only way that I can walk on heels are when the shoes have a chunky heel in combination with a platform. Can’t walk in delicate heels. How about you? Let me know in the comments whether you are team chunky or delicate heel.

My super messy hair was actually on purpose this time as I put sea salt spray in it. I just love messy hair more than a sleek and perfect hairdo.
